Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it's hot and ready for baking.
In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the ground beef, dried breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, milk, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, dried Italian herbs, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Stir gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
Shape the mixture into a loaf form and transfer it to a greased loaf pan or place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Generously spread the ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 50 to 60 minutes, checking that the internal temperature has reached 160°F (70°C).
Once baked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
Slice the meatloaf and serve it with your choice of sides.
Notes
For a delightful finishing touch, sprinkle each slice with additional grated Parmesan cheese and freshly chopped parsley before serving.
